The clinical spectrum of signs and symptoms that have been attributed to the word detox are vast. The term is poorly understood by doctors and patients, and it is often unclear if it is to be regarded as a good thing or something to be feared. If we consider the full term — detoxification — we can bring some clarity to the process. You should take Ion as long as you are getting exposure to those environmental factors known to impact the tight junctions in the gut, including gluten, glyphosate, and antibiotics. Healthy (especially organic and non-GMO) and gluten-free foods are great; avoiding exposure to glyphosate is the bigger challenge, as it has been shown to be contaminating even our rainwater.  As with most supplements, you can expect to receive benefit as long as you are taking Ion, and for a residual period afterwards.
